July: Nature in fullest splendour a sense of well-being, of peace, relaxed contentment in summer heat…

Time for Thinking of Others: Whilst we may be enjoying a sense of well- being, so many others in our world are suffering. Lord, in our times of plenty help us to show compassion to the victims of disaster, those caught in floods, earthquakes, in wars and terrorist attacks, those who suffer hunger. Forgive us for the times we ignore the plight of the needy. Help us to be generous of heart. Amen

Caherline Juvenile Club held their sponsored walk last Saturday afternoon; a very enjoyable day was had by the participants. Thanks to all those that took part, those that sponsored and to Uncle Toms for their hospitality, and anyone that helped out. All funds raised will help continue the great work being done with the children of the Parish. The Club has put a huge amount of work into U6, U8, U10 and U12 level over the last 3 to 4 years and this effort has seen a fantastic surge in numbers playing our games. A busy weekend will see Caherline's U10 hurlers travel to Bruree this Friday evening to play in a blitz ,throw in is at 6.45. A great evening’s hurling is in store for all who travel. On Monday evening our U21's play St. Kevin’s (South Liberties/Fedamore) in the East U21 B Hurling Championship Final in Caherelly. Best of luck to all involved .Our U14's had a good win over Feenagh/Kilmeedy last Wednesday, another fine performance from this talented team. The Junior B's lost out to Murroe Boher last Friday in the East Championship. Caherline fielded a young and inexperienced championship side that fought hard and will improve with games and time.
